Sheep Farm App Quick Start: Set Up in 6 Steps

A quick start for the EkBoer app. In six steps you set your lambing date, tidy your rules, add your own vaccines, add your animals, check the yearly plan, and start using the Today screen every day.

What you will learn

Step 1: set your lambing date

Open Setup, then Your timing
Set the month and day lambing starts
Breeding, flushing and yearly dates count from it

Here is a quick start in six steps. Step one. Open Setup, then Your timing, and set the date lambing starts on your farm. Give the month and the day. Breeding, flushing and many yearly dates are counted from it.

Step 2: go through your rules

Open Your rules and go through the list
Untick Ewes, Rams and Lambs for rules that do not apply
Or delete the rule

Step two. In Your rules, go through the list. For every rule that does not apply to you, remove the ticks for Ewes, Rams and Lambs, or delete the rule.

Step 3: add your own vaccines

Tap + Add my own vaccine or treatment

Step three. Add your own vaccines and treatments. Tap the button, Add my own vaccine or treatment, and follow the screen. There is a separate video that shows this in detail.

Step 4: add your animals

Animals tab, then + Add animals
An ID, plus the buy date or birth date
Lambs also need their mother's ID

Step four. Go to Animals and tap Add animal for each animal. Give an ID, and the date you bought it, or its birth date. Lambs also need their mother's ID.

Step 5: check the Plan

Open Plan to see the whole year
Check it matches what you and your vet want

Step five. Open Plan to see the whole year of shots. Check that it matches what you and your vet want.

Step 6: use Today every day

Open Today every day
Do the jobs and tap Done

Step six. Every day, open Today, do the jobs, and tap Done. That is all it takes.
