Stud sheep records: pedigree, weights and a birth list

Animal details

• Breed, registration number, herd book or class, sire, dam, ear tag, tattoo and electronic ID (EID).
• How the animal was born and reared: single, twin or triplet.
• Pedigree view over three generations, with the animal’s own offspring and weights.

Performance

• Weights at birth, weaning, post-weaning and as a yearling.
• Weaning weight corrected to 100 days and daily gain, when the birth weight is known.
• Lambs ranked by weaning weight for any birth year, and results for each sire and each dam.
• Inspection (keuring) records with class, points and inspector, and DNA parentage records.
• An inbreeding check when you join ewes with a ram, worked out from the parents you have recorded.

Birth list and spreadsheet import

A birth list for any year lists every lamb with dam, sire, registration numbers, birth type and birth weight, ready to copy into your society’s forms. You can also import your existing animals and weights from Excel, CSV or pasted cells, with an Undo for the whole import.

What it does not do

The app does not submit anything to a breed society or to Logix, and it is not a replacement for their rules. It keeps your own records tidy and easy to copy from. Check your society’s current requirements for what you must submit and when.
